Case study · Concept · Launch Kit: website and email
A simple website and booking path for a tutoring centre
Tanglaw Tutorial Center is three years old, well liked, and runs on word of mouth and a Facebook page. Every enrollment season the same five questions filled its Messenger inbox, one thread at a time: How much? What schedule? Where exactly? Online or in-person? May slot pa ba? Answering them took time away from teaching, and parents who never asked may have enrolled somewhere that looked more established.
Practice project: Tanglaw is a fictional client. I completed the proposal, website, booking form, and welcome email so you can inspect the working materials.
The brief
A website does not need to replace the Facebook page. It can be the dependable link that answers repeated questions about schedules, prices, and booking.
This Launch Kit includes a one-page site, a working booking form, a Mailchimp list owned by the centre, and a welcome email.
What I made
- A responsive one-page site in Tanglaw's own look: chalkboard teal and lamp-yellow, because tanglaw means light.
- Each section answers one of the five questions: programs, schedule, the full rate list posted publicly, teachers, and a live map.
- A working assessment-booking form that lands in the owner's inbox with the child's grade level and needs, plus quiet spam protection.
- A mobile menu that works without JavaScript, so there's less to break.
- A Mailchimp parents' list on the center's own account, so announcements reach parents directly instead of depending on the Facebook feed.
- The welcome email, designed email-safe and loaded ready to send: "Tanglaw now has a home online."
- A social-share card, so the link looks proper when it's dropped into the group chats parents use every day.
No more "PM for rates"
Tanglaw’s sample rates are posted in full so a parent can understand the cost without sending a private message first.
Posted prices filter out non-buyers, build trust with real ones, and quietly position the center as more established than every competitor who makes parents ask. What felt like a risk became the site's most distinctive section.
Site, booking form, Mailchimp setup on the client's own account, welcome email, share card, and deployment to free hosting. Priced separately these come to about ₱12,500. The bundle costs less because one setup and one design pass cover all four pieces.
